I have a number of structures created in Chemdraw, and would like to include these in my web pages. The program does not offer a .gif extension file type. Could anyone suggest how I might do this please?
The methods which I have used very successfully (on a Mac) are: (a) (rather round about route) create web pages in MS-Word, save them as RTF files and then use RTFtoHTML to convert them into HTML. This cuts out the figures and saves them as .pict files Then I use clip2gif to convert the .pict files into .gif files (b) clip2gif can directly convert the contents of the Mac clipboard into a gif file (c) you might be able to achieve the same as (b) using graphicconverter clip2gif can be found at ftp://sunsite.doc.ic.ac.uk//packages/mac/umich/graphics/graphicsutil/ clip2gif0.71.sit.hqx.gz Andy Hughes xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Dr. Andrew Hughes, Department of Chemistry, University of Durham, U.K. ----- chemweb: A list for Chemical Applications of the Internet.
