Don't ask me why Springer's production people removed it. OK I should have noticed at galley proof stage but someone here checked the proof and didn't tell me - thought that the abstract was handled separately. Nothing I can do at this stage. Will send the abstract to CAS in the hope that they can at least put it in SciFinder. Abstract Rigorously documented and managed chemistry data would enable more reliable validation of results; re-examination of research; advances in science; increased efficiency; application across domains; and improved reporting, storing, discoverability, and sharing of research outputs. Some global initiatives in the field of research data management are summarized in the first part of this article. After that, some specific examples of data reuse are discussed, including various projects on sharing of datasets among pharmaceutical companies.
